Meet NFL Draft Analyst - Taber Small

 

 

Taber J. Small is an experienced NFL Draft Analyst and has been scouting football talent for the last 10 years. Taber  was formerly director of player personnel for the HBCU Bowl All- Star game in Atlanta, GA that was played from 2009 to 2011. He also served as a football consultant for Perennial Sports and Entertainment in DC from 2006 to 2010. Taber also works as a Personnel Consultant for the Texas vs. the Nation All-Star game as well as a NFL Scouting Consultant for the NFL Regional Combine in Baltimore, MD. From 2006 to 2010, Taber worked closely with NFL Agent Tony Paige at Perennial for four years. With his assistance the company experienced enormous growth & Taber was the most successful recruiter in the agency and helped represent many of the company's top athletes. Clients at the company included NY Jets Kris Jenkins, Miami Dolphins Randy Starks, NY Giants William Beatty, New Orleans Saints Leigh Torrence, Jacksonville Jaguars Terrance Knighton, Washington Redskins Chris Baker and many more. During that time, Taber was involved in various player projects related to NFL draft preparation, client & prospect database maintenance, college talent evaluation, lining up free agent workouts, college all-star game placement, marketing endorsements, public relations and community relations.

 

Taber is a Baltimore, MD native and received a B.A. in Economics May 2002 from the University of Connecticut where he played Division I football and was a three year starter at tailback. During his senior year at UCONN, he was awarded the football team prestigious Kendall Madison Award given to "A Team Player Whose Dedication, Hard-work, Positive Attitude and Outstanding Citizenship Best Exemplifies the Proud Spirit of the UCONN Huskies"; he was also awarded the annual Outstanding Senior Athlete award given by the board directors from the UCONN CLUB in April 2002.
